Friday, April 15th to Monday, April 18th 2022.
Also known as Easter Weekend.
Bingen am Rhein, Germany.
Bingen is located on the beautiful river Rhine, 70 km west of Frankfurt am Main. Easy to reach by train, air and car.
Due to the very limited capacity, this event is for invited sceners only. Please contact an UC organizer in case you haven't been invited yet but believe you should.
We are charging a flat fee of 35 Euro / day (Fri/Sat/Sun), which includes all drinks, breakfast and food. If you buy/bring something for common consumption, you will be refunded (but ask in beforehand!).
We will have very limited table seating for those who are working on their releases. Due to this, Laptops are preferred over desktop PCs. Please do not bring own drinks.
We have couple of parking places meant for people who sleep in their vehicle, including power and water for caravans. Everyone else will have to walk a couple of meters to public parking places.
The party is going to take place in Bingen am Rhein, Germany. In case you are very old (like we are), that name may ring a bill - yes, it's the city the Breakpoint demo party series used to run in.
For those who are not old: Bingen am Rhein is a small city at the junction of the rivers Rhine and Nahe. Bingen is surrounded by a varied landscape, known for its natural beauty, its castles and other places of interest. It's around 80 km west of Frankfurt/Main, and 100 km south-east of Cologne. Bingen is easily reachable by car (A60 and A61 motorways), by rail (Intercity, Eurocity and Regional trains), by air (Frankfurt-Main, Frankfurt-Hahn and Cologne/Bonn (CGN) airports).
The party location will be Nahe & Fern Studios, which is a photo studio hall run by fellow organizer fashion / vacuum^farbrausch. It's connected to the office rooms and outside terrace of Nerdherrschaft, which is scamp / vacuum's R&D company.
This means that we have all the infrastructure we could want in a single place. A stylish hall, gigantic Internet upstream, a beautiful terrace to hang around and BBQ on.
There will be a huge bigscreen and PA to enjoy the Revision competitions.
Please note that there is no sleeping hall! You may sleep in your vehicle/caravan, or book a hotel room, but you can not sleep inside the main hall.
During daytime a huge terrace will be available to enjoy the sun, hang around on the meadows or enjoy the BBQ.
The main terrace will be closed during night-time, but there will be a small balcony connected to the main hall for those who want to go out for a smoke.
This is a brand-new luxury spa hotel that has everything you'd expect from a great Hotel and more. Roof-top pools, a Michelin star restaurant, and obviously lots of spa activity, all directly overseeing the Rhine river.
If you want your loved one who isn't interested in the demo scene to still love you after the weekend, book this Hotel, it's really great.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the location.
This hotel used to have four stars, but a couple of years it has lost it's rating. The rooms are rather dated and could use a makeover. The breakfast buffet however is of amazing quality.
Still, this is a pretty good choice if you can get a good deal. Typically cheap rates can be found on booking.com.
The hotel is next to the river, but also next to the train tracks and the central train station, and the noise level in the rooms is pretty bad. If you don't like train noise, either pick a room with river view, or pick another hotel.
